A "could have been perfect" color laser printer Telecom Pete The good: 1) the price - which is on sale for 299.00 in several places. A network printer at this price is a bargain. 2) The picture quality is crisp and clear. The colors are fairly accurate. 3) There were no problems installing the printer on the computer with Vista. But there are a lot of stuff (optional programs) at the facility for a typical installation can take a long time (in my case more than one hour) when I wondered why it took so much. I guess in this age of "bloatware", that can wait. The bad: The HP does not do high-performance cartridge for your printer series (here and HP Color LaserJet CP1215). Toner cartridges with high capacity is a big money saver, since they usually give you 2-3 times more pages, but usually only cost 20-25% more than standard cartridges. So unless HP comes out with high-yield toner cartridges for this printer in the future, will be stuck paying about double for the printed page, as you would if you bought a printer that can use high-yield cartridges for about $ 280.00 a set of replacement cartridges, the savings of low price of the printer can be easily overcome by higher printing costs, if you plan to do much color printing. Great image and color, but the toner does not last too long by J. I had a co. Samsung CL-300, about the same size pritner, but I hated the color of it So if I use the CV at work, I was so surprised and happy that the color is very close to what I see on the screenshots too. Since it is a laser printer, photo scale has not seem as nice as inkjets, but still did a great job! I like the manual duplex printing. I did not understand what it meant that I tried. I've always had a problem with determining which side I presented the two-sided printing, but HP has it easier. If it prints, just put on the back of a printed paper into the tray, without over-or be executed, or something else. You simply set it in the trash the same way it comes out. The worst thing about this printer is the use of toner. The Toolbox installed in the computer, said that the black toner is more than 60%, and then after a minute it decreased by 10% ... That's less than 7 weeks and just 600 printed pages. It is believed the pressure of up to 2000 pages ... After a further pressure is the cyan toner is the same, from 60% - 10% ... The tones are cheap not excatly the fusing toner is attached to each, so I therefore believe toner is expensive. I replace my Samsung (home) with this (buy one for me) to think. Service usually HP printers are high quality products, but this is a dud in my opinion. The first one I had made the same screeching noise other reviewers have reported, and only prints solid black pages. I requested a replacement from Amazon.com, and they sent one over night. The second printer had the same problems as the first, so I asked for a refund. Only two printers with the exact same error on some design and quality control issues from HP.
